Everything you need, in one box.
Open it on December 1 and you’re ready to go. No craft store run, no printing, no planning. Linda has already done all of that for you.
a night
Fifteen minutes around the tree each evening.
The devotional walks you through every night, so there’s nothing to prepare. Here’s what a typical evening looks like.
- 1Light the candleOne candle the first week, two the second, until all four are glowing in the last week of Advent.
- 2Sing a carolPick a family favorite. Singing the same one all month is perfectly fine.
- 3Read the ScriptureEach night has its own passage. Older kids can take turns reading it aloud.
- 4Hang the ornamentEach ornament pictures that night’s story, so even the youngest can follow along.
- 5Talk about itAsk what the story means. If the kids want to act it out, let them.
Along the way, your kids will learn three Christmas verses by heart: Isaiah 9:6, Luke 2:10 and Luke 2:14.
Twenty-five stories that point to Jesus.
The Jesse Tree is named for Isaiah’s promise, “There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse.” Each night adds someone from Jesus’ family line, so by Christmas your kids can see how the whole Old Testament was getting ready for Him.

Straight from Linda’s devotional
Every part of the wreath tells part of the story.
It started with three kids under six.
When Linda Case’s children were small, she wanted a way to keep the real meaning of Christmas at the center of a very busy month. She found the Jesse Tree and the Advent wreath, chose Christmas verses short enough for little ones to memorize, and made it a nightly time of family worship. In the early years she told the Bible stories with a lion puppet. Later the kids read the Scripture themselves and acted the stories out.
Other families started asking where they could get one. There wasn’t anywhere to buy it, so Linda made them herself and gave them away. After years of hearing what it meant to those families, she found makers who could produce the whole thing and packed it into one box. This is that kit.
“The kids were both excited and anxious to do it every day.”
Watch: the story behind the kit
What families are saying.
The Jesse Tree is a wonderful way to introduce our 2.5 year old granddaughter to Advent Season. She loves all the ornaments that she can put on the tree, and take off, and put on… as we read the book together. It also became a great visual reminder of Advent for us all.
Good to know before you order.

How long does the devotional take each night?
About 10 to 15 minutes, every evening from December 1 through December 25.
What ages is it for?
Every age. Toddlers love hanging the ornaments, school-age kids can read the Scripture out loud, teenagers can help lead the conversation, and grandparents usually turn out to be the best storytellers at the table. It works just as well for couples and empty nesters doing it on their own, or with grandkids who come to visit.
Do I need to buy anything else?
No. The devotional, wreath, four candles, quilted tree, all 25 ornaments and the wall hanger are in the box.
Where do we hang the Jesse Tree?
On any wall where the family will see it every day. The wall hanger is included.
Does it make a good gift?
It’s a wonderful gift for extended family, especially grandchildren. Choose “Send as gifts” when you order to ship kits to several families at once, each with its own gift note. You pay once, and shipping is free to every address.
Can I send kits to different addresses in one order?
Yes. Pick “Send as gifts,” then add a name, address and optional note for each family. Everything is billed to your card in one payment.
When will my kit arrive?
Before December 1. Orders close November 20, or sooner if kits sell out, so that every kit ships in time for families to start on the first night.
How many kits are available?
This batch is 85 kits, made by hand in small batches in Colorado. Keep an eye on the little workshop next to the trees at the top of the page. If this batch sells out, our makers may build a few more before orders close on November 20.
Can we use it again next year?
Yes. The tree, ornaments, wreath and devotional are made to last. You may want fresh candles each year.
Where is it made?
Right here in the USA. Local makers in Colorado produce and assemble the kits.
Start a tradition your kids will ask for every December.
$125 covers all 25 nights. That works out to about $5 a night, and you’ll bring it out again next year. Every kit is made by hand in small batches, and this batch is 85. If they’re all spoken for, our makers may build a few more, but only until November 20.
