Salvation

God created you... (Genesis 1:26 -"Let us make man in our image and likeness..."

God knows you... (Psalm 139:13 - "You knit me together in my mother's womb...")

God loves you... (John 3:16 - "God so loved the whole world that He gave His only Son - Jesus - so that whoever believed on Him would have eternal life.")

God wants to have an intimate relationship with you... (II Peter 3:9 - "God is not wanting anyone to perish, but for everyone to come to repentance.") (Revelation 21:3,7 - "Now God will come and live among His people, I will be their God and they will be my children.")

Based on the infallible word of God and not our feelings, God says we can be saved, go to heaven when we die, and have eternal life with Him. (Romans 10:9,10,13 - "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.") You must recognize that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, died for your sins, paid the penalty for your sins, was raised from the dead, and if you will acknowledge Him to be your personal Savior, you will be saved.

To become a child of God and to know that you have eternal life, say this prayer out loud and from your heart. Then go tell somebody that you are now a child of God.

"Lord, I thank you for Jesus and all He has done for me. I know that I am a sinner and need to be saved. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead so that I might be saved and have eternal life. I accept Your cleansing of all my sin. I take Jesus to be my Savior and Lord. I will not serve sin, the devil, or myself any longer. I am living for Jesus from this day forward. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for making me your child, giving me eternal life, and for saving me. In Jesus name, Amen."

Now you are born again according to the word of God. God's desire is for you to grow spiritually by renewing your mind (or learning His word). - Romans 12:2 says, " Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will know what God's will is - His perfect will for you and your life."

God will now require of you these three things:

  1. Read the Bible daily.
  2. Pray to your Heavenly Father, in the name of His Son, Jesus, daily.
  3. Find a good, Christ preaching church, attend regularly, and
    pray about becoming a member.
